JAMMU, June 18: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) in collaboration with Vikram Jamwal Foundation presented Vijay Malla’s new progressive nukkad on child labour “Baal Shrrum Nished Hai” under its “Monday Theatre Series” at Pakka Talab Municipal Park, Rehari Chungi, here today.
The central character of the nukkad Ramu is forced by his parents for working at a tea stall for certain amount. A group of children know Ramu and feel bad for his condition. They approach a social welfare group and narrate them Ramu’s miseries.
The social activist catches hold of tea stall owner and asks him how he can keep Ramu (a minor) at his shop. This is a crime and you will be punished for this crime, he says. Tea stall owner calls Ramu’s father, who is questioned by social activist and warned for this crime.
Both the tea vendor and Ramu’s father are convinced by law of land. Ramu when asked whether he is ready to go to school, he smiles and feels excited. They assure Ramu’s father all help for the education of Ramu.
This nukkad is an eye-opener for those people who encourage child labour. Actors who acted in the nukkad were Daksh, Khushi, Rahul Dev, Raju Mad, Chintu, Rohit Gupta, Sonu, Krish Gupta, Krishika Gupta and Vijay Malla.
