JAMMU, Oct 10: Ek Sath Rang Mandal today presented it’s 216th Nukkad play ‘Andhvishwas’ under Monday theatre series in collaboration with Unison and BLSKS at BC Park, near Bus Stand. Jammu.
Written by Vijay Malla Andhvishwas is warning for those who are easily trapped by so called fake people who pose themselves to be healers for mental diseases. The innocent people lose their money and cheated in their hands.
Ashok from a middle class family develops some lunatic problems and gets fits regularly. Some times he cries and some time he weeps and laughs without any reason. His parents are much worried because of him.
Different people give different suggestions for his treatment. Even it is declared that some cruel image is making him to do such actions.
Ashok’s brother who is well educated suggests them to take him hospital and get him examined by doctor so that he will be all right. But elders and his family members reject his suggestion and they decide to take Ashok to Tantrik who will cure Ashok.
Munna an agent of Tantrik takes them to his ashram who demands Rs 5000 in advance for treatment as he has to oblige all evil elements and perform pooja in the midnight. Ashok’s brother smells some fishy in the deal. He immediately informs police about these cheats and asks for help. He wants to expose these fake people at any cost so that other people are not cheated.
They handover Rs 5000 to fake Tantrik who orders them to keep Ashok in the ashram for the night. Ashok is given intoxicated tablets with milk and his body is painted with mud.
Ashok’s brother along police force raid ashram in the midnight. All them are astonished to see that Baba and his associates are enjoying wine while his brother is lying unconscious in another room. Baba is arrested money is recovered and Ashok is immediately shifted to hospital for treatment.
Those who acted in play were Shakil Ahmed, Ashok Sharma, Prabal Sharma, Anuroop Pathania and Vijay Malla.
