EPFO working tirelessly to complete digitization of records: Dr Anjum

JAMMU, Oct 27: Chief Accounts Officer (CAO) of J&K Employees Provident Fund Organization (JKEPFO), Dr Farah Anjum, who is also holding the charge of Additional Provident Fund Commissioner, Jammu Division, today said that the department is working day and night to complete the job of digitization of manual records.
“As JKEPFO Act has been replaced, all data funds along with interest will be transferred to Central EPFO but as on date the whole manpower of the department is working tirelessly to digitize manual records, validation of data, settlement of cases and scanning of office records, which spans over five decades,” Dr Anjum said.
She said as soon as the digitization and validation of data is completed, the funds as well as the data will be transferred to Central EPFO. “The streamlining will be highly beneficial for the subscribers as well as the employers, who will be able to check/submit claims online and receive their funds within days,” she asserted and advised the members to keep patience and cooperate with the Department.
Dr Anjum said, in the meanwhile, final cases are being settled on ‘First Come First Serve’ basis as per the order of the higher authorities. “But owing to present difficult scenario, some emergency cases of death, medical nature and marriage of daughter/dependent sister are being proceeded on priority, as per the instruction of the higher authorities,” she added.
She informed that the new UAN Number is being allotted to each EPFO member and it is being linked to old Number, mobile phone number and Aadhaar card.
