JAMMU, Dec 3: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Regional Office, Jammu has settled 8,316 PF claims received from members in the month of November.
The settled claims include 2,122 claims under Covid-19 and 2,155 claims under illness which goes a long way towards mitigating the distress of members during Covid-19 pandemic time, a spokesperson of EPFO Regional Office, Jammu said.
He said a total of 596 e-Nominations done during November 2021 which ensures a more smooth process of settlement of PF claims in the unfortunate event of demise of the member. Encouraging all the members to file their e-Nomination at the earliest, he appealed all the registered establishments to assist their employees in this process.
“A total of 32.58 crores rupees received during the month which is an increase of 12.11 percent over previous month and highest remittance this financial year. This includes Rs 75 Lakhs received in Administrative Account Number 02 of EPFO,” he said and advised all the registered establishments to make all statutory payments on time to avoid any inconvenience to members.
Revealing that 43 new establishments were registered with EPFO under Jammu Regional Office during the month, he said all the establishments may avail the online facility for registration with EPFO by visiting Shram Suvidha Portal. He said special awareness campaigns are being conducted for activities such as e-Nomination, filing of ECR etc. through seminars and online webinars.
“Special grievance redressal session, Nidhi Aapke Nikat was also conducted on November 10 during which long pending issues of many members and establishments were taken up and resolution provided,” the spokesperson said, adding, the Regional Office, Jammu is also actively promoting interests of stakeholders through online platforms such as Twitter and Facebook.
