NEW DELHI, Sept 10: The EPCH India pavilion was today inaugurated at “Index Saudi Arabia”- 2025, which is underway at Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.
The pavilion was inaugurated by Dr Suhel Ajaz Khan, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh in presence of Manusmriti, Counsellor (Economic & Commerce) Embassy of India, Riyadh, Akshay Singh, deputy Director, O/o Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, GoI and Salman Azam, Member CoA-EPCH.
This was informed by R K Verma, Executive Director, EPCH.
He said, “The fair is being held from 09 – 11 September’ 2025. India has a great opportunity to display its unparalleled diversity, rich culture and long tradition of arts and crafts on a large stage like Index Saudi Arabia.”
Dr Suhel Ajaz Khan while inaugurating appreciated the continuous efforts of the Council for bringing Indian Handicrafts to the world markets and promotion of handicrafts exports from the country.
He also interacted with member participants and assured all support in future business promotions.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Neeraj Khanna, chairman-EPCH said, “Index Saudi Arabia is the longest-running interiors event in the Middle East, trusted by companies and brands all over the world. The fair brings together the international design, home decor and lifestyle community under one roof.”
On the sidelines of event, an interactive session was organized on the theme “India – The Ideal Destination for Handicrafts Sourcing”
The chief guest of the session was Dr Suhel Ajaz Khan and Dalal Abudulelah Abuljadayel, vice president, in Detail Design Center Jeddah.
Salman Azam in his welcome address highlighted the importance of Saudi market in present business scenario.
EPCH is a nodal agency for promoting exports of handicrafts from the Country to various destinations of the world and projecting India’s image abroad as reliable supplier of high quality of handicrafts.
