BARAMULLA, Sept 9: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla, Amod Ashok Nagapure, today directed the officers to take strict action against those involved in anti-national and anti-social activities.
He issued these directives while chairing a crime and security review meeting at District Police Lines Baramulla.
According to the police spokesperson, SSP Nagapure, during his interaction with the officers, reiterated the importance of strengthening the counter-insurgency and security grid in their respective areas and emphasized “the need for stringent action against those engaged in anti-national and anti-social activities.”
The meeting was convened to focus on presentations by the Station House Officers (SHOs), discussing actions taken against drug peddlers and Over Ground Workers (OGWs) so far this year, and urging further efforts for improvement.
Emphasis was also placed on area domination, prevention of terrorist incidents, and ensuring zero terror recruitment.
Additionally, discussions were held on enhancing the quality of investigations in crime disposal and the role of supervisory officers.
The meeting was attended by DySP Hqrs Baramulla, SDPOs of Pattan, Uri, Kreeri and Tangmarg, DySP PCs, DySP DAR Baramulla, SHOs and Incharge PPs of District Baramulla.
