Sir,
When a political party is voted to power, it carries forward the same legacy of previous Government and brings no noticeable change in the existing set up. People are jubilant to see something new from the Government.
Governments come and go but there seems to be no end to nepotism, corruption, red tapism, bureaucratic arrogance etc When a new Government is formed, it indulges in politics of witch hunting. Functionaries appointed by the previous Government albeit honest and dedicated are transferred in bureaucratic reshuffle. Projects and schemes started by the previous Government are shelved for years without any logic behind the same. This adds to the miseries of people. No sincere attempt is made to address sensitive issues of unemployment, dereliction of duty by the officials, time bound delivery of services etc.
New dispensation should try to deliver with difference to rejuvenate the process of deliverance and governance. New innovative ideas shall have to be introduced and proactive policies should be implemented through honest, hardworking and sincere functionaries. Accountability should be ensured at all levels. This will go a long way in winning the lost confidence of people in the sacred institution of democracy.
