Enhance honorarium

Sir,
A large number of vacancies of lecturers of various subjects are lying vacant in Govt Higher Secondary schools, especially those falling in hilly and farflung areas. In order to ensure that the academic activities in such schools donot suffer, The Government has introduced a scheme of engagement of PG candidates in the academic arrangement in various subjects to teach 10+2 classes. But is sad that these teachers engaged purely on temporary basis are paid only Rupees 7000.00 (Seven thousand only) per month which has not been revised/ enhanced for many years. It is a cruel joke with these teachers who are playing a significant role in regulating the academic activities in the schools in a proper manner and saving the lives of the students from being ruined due to the shortage of staff as also exploitation of their talent and ability.
The apathy of the Government towards these teachers can be guessed from the fact while they were paid an honararium of Rs 7000, their counterparts in the colleges were paid Rs 8000. Now those engaged in colleges are paid Rs 18000 (having passed NET/SLET )and Rs12000 (without NET/ SLET). Therefore, the PG candidates engaged to teach different subjects to +2 classes avoid joining 10+2 schools, especially in remote and farflung areas as Rs 7000 paid to them each month( excluding breaks, of course) is too small an amount to help them sustain life in this age of skyrocketing prices. The  doctors and other staff appointed under NRHM, are paid honorarium depending on the place of their posting- those posted in farflung and remote areas are paid more in comparison to those who are posted in cities and towns but  there is no such provision for the PG candidates engaged to teach 10+2 classes. Thus, there is an urgent need to revise their monthly honorarium and pay them a minimum of Rs 15000-20000 and even more to those who are posted in farflung areas to enable them to make both ends meet.
Yours etc…
