MENDHAR, Aug 5: An engineering student of the final year from Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri, committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Mendhar area last evening.
The deceased has been identified as Rashid Ahmed, son of Mohd Rashid, resident of Bhati Dhar (Jugal) in Mendhar. The boy was the final year student of BE in BGSB University at Rajouri. He had come to his residence after exams. After opening Roza late last evening, the boy went to his room and allegedly consumed some poisonous pills and became serious. The family members rushed him to Mendhar hospital where he died after some time. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
