KISHTWAR, May 27: In compliance to the directions of Commissioner, FDA J&K, today the team of Enforcement Officers lead by Taraq Ahmad Butt, Assistant Commissioner Food Safety (DFCO) Kishtwar visited the market and checked the chemist shops in view to determine the valid possessions of licenses/registration under Food Safety and Standards Act.
During this special drive, Enforcement team monitored the objectives of Licenses & registrations of more than 20 establishments, upon cross checking 4 chemist shops were found not to posses such documents which are mandatory under the Act and for taking adequate steps these 4 violators who allegedly found without Registrations/Licenses under FSS Act have been booked under the Act.
Moreover, 2 samples of food supplements/neutraceticals were lifted for analysis to ensure availability of safe, pure and standard products for the consumers and public in general.
