Sir,
After four years of controversial ruling by the Unholy Alliance of BJP and PDP the end of the alliance should not be taken as something surprising because the foundation of this alliance was quite surprising in itself. The basic ideology of both the parties was/is quite contradictory which made every body perplexed as how can two opposite poles can meet and also prolong for a long period of time. The separation of the opposite poles was quite natural.
As is well known to all that the philosophy and ideology of both the parties is quite contradictory. On one hand PDP is Kashmir based and always talks in favour of Kashmiri Community, shows a soft mind towards militants and its main objective is Self Rule which is another name for Azadi of the separatist group. And all of the points are quite opposite to the idiology of BJP.
Now turning towards BJP, it is quite opposite to that of the PDP.It is totally Jammu based and has its own ideology. It is against the idea of Self Rule, wants an iron hand to deal with the millitants and is also against the existence of Article 370. In this way, both the parties are like two opposite sides of the same coin and as such can’t work together.Under such conditions, BJP has badly failed to do anything for its electorate. Consequently, most of the Jammuites are annoyed with BJP. Under such conditions BJP has taken a very good decision to withdraw the support leading to imposition of Governors Rule in the State.
However, the political conditions are not in favour of the alliance . There are very remote chances for the allies to return in the assembly with the same strength.
