This is in response to the article published in this paper regarding accidents on the national highway. It is not accidents on National Highways only but on other roads as well. There is too much traffic on all roads and every one is in speed. The roads are already congested and most of the shopkeepers have kept their items on display on already narrow roads. Hawkers rehriwallas also eat portion of roads. Worst is done by shopkeepers who sell sand , bricks, iron etc (Construction material) to people. Iron rods on roads are very fatal for walkers, sand and bajri get spread to almost middle of roads and vehicles moving over it are pone to accidents. It is God’s grace if some one reaches safely home after moving on such encroached roads. Shopkeepers especially those selling construction material are requested to avoid keeping iron rods, bajri, sand on roads. Jammu Municipal Corporation is requested to take early necessary action for safety of common man.
