Srinagar, June 6: Police in Pulwama today retrieved four properties allegedly encroached upon by drug peddlers
Officials said the properties were retrieved from the Marval and Khadermoh areas in a move aimed at dismantling support networks associated with narcotics-related activities.
As part of preventive measures under the campaign, police also inspected several medical shops to ensure compliance with regulations governing the sale and distribution of controlled medicines.
Meanwhile, an anti-drug awareness programme was organised at Government Higher Secondary School Kakapora, where students and staff were sensitised about the dangers of substance abuse and the need for collective action against the drug menace.
Police said the campaign combines enforcement measures, preventive action and awareness programmes to combat drug abuse and trafficking.
