JAMMU, Jan 11: Pitching for women empowerment, Apni Party Provincial President Women Wing, Namrta Sharma has appealed to the government to encourage women entrepreneurship in J&K.
She raised the demand during a meeting at Rampura in Naibasti area here.
During the meeting, the participants appraised her about issues being faced by the residents of Rampura and alleged that the ration delivery system there is very poor and the people face problems due to the lack of interest from the officials concerned to redress concerns of the people.
They also complained about lack of cleanliness in the locality, choked drains and unresolved old age pension issues there.
Addressing the people, Namrta insisted on educating the children, especially girls and appealed to the women to encourage young educated girls in entrepreneurship. The Apni Party leader said that “Women have proven their mettle in different fields and the government should give special incentives to the women interested in setting up industrial units.
She assured the people that their issues will be taken before the concerned departments for early redressal.
On this occasion Sunita Kumari, Preeti Gupta, Shyama Gupta, Indu Gupta, Santosh Kumari, Pooja Devi, Jyoti, Neelam Kumari, Sharda Devi and others joined Apni Party.
