SRINAGAR, Mar 10: Two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, police said.
Acting on specific inputs about the presence of terrorists in Naina Batpora area of the south Kashmir district, security forces launched a cordon and search operation there, a police official said.
The search operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists fired upon the forces, who retaliated.
In the ensuing exchange of fire, the two terrorists were killed, the official said.
He said both the slain terrorists were affiliated with LeT.
Arms and ammunition was recovered from the site of the encounter. (Agencies)
