Emotional scenes witness as 142 recruits joined Army to serve nation

SRINAGAR: Emotional scenes were today witnessed when 142 recruits joined the ranks of proud Indian Army soldiers after completing 11 months training at Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JKLI) Regimental Centre here.

Another batch of energetic determined and motivated youth of J&K joined the ranks of proud Indian Army Soldiers as they successfully completed a strenuous training regimen of 11 months.

The training was culminated with the Passing Out Parade, which was reviewed by Major General B K Jain. Also in attendance were over 2500 parents and relatives of the young soldiers from the State of J&K along with a number of civil and military dignitaries.

The dauntless soldiers of the Regiment hailing from all regions and religions of the State of J&K took oath in unison to serve the supreme cause of the Nation. Their Ceremonial ardour and salute to the tri-colour with National Anthem playing inspired patriotic fervour in all present.

During the investiture ceremony, Major General Jain also presented awards to the meritorious recruits who excelled in various facets of training. (AGENCIES)
