Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling immortalised on Hollywood boulevard

LOS ANGELES, Dec 8:  “La La Land” stars Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling were honored with a hand and foot ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood.
The actors left their (permanent) marks on Hollywood to join the ranks of Shirley Temple, Marilyn Monroe, Hugh Jackman and others, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Alwyn Hight Kushner, president of the TCL Chinese Theater, said that the ceremony would succeed in “creating an everlasting homage to Hollywood and its legendary artists.”
Stone, 28, and Gosling also took the stage to express their gratitude and excitement.
“This is embarrassing — I thought this was maybe the kind of a thing where you come and put your hand prints in cement and then they take them away and put them up somewhere. I was just told that they were going to stay here, so I cried a little bit inside.
“This is an incredible experience and making this movie was an incredible experience. What a place to get to commemorate that,” the actress said.
The duo completed the ceremony by engraving the cement with their signatures.
“I’m still not completely convince that we’re not going to be arrested for vandalism, but I’m going to take your word for it that we’re allowed to do this.
“We had an opportunity to shoot in most of Los Angeles’ iconic locations except for this (the Chinese Theater) so I guess this is the final piece to the puzzle. It’s a beautiful way to end this experience,” Gosling, 36, said. (PTI)
