JAMMU, Mar 27 The Election Expenditure Observer, Suahashisha Nath, today took a detailed review meeting with Assistant Expenditure Observers, Nodal Officers, members of MCMC, accounting team, video surveillance and video reviewing teams at expenditure monitoring cell at PWD Guest House Gandhinagar.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Neeraj Kumar, was also present in the meeting.
It is pertinent to mention here that expenditure observers have been appointed by Election Commission of India for monitoring day to day expenditure being incurred by the candidates in each constituency. Besides, video surveillance team and flying squads have also been constituted for videography of sensitive events and big public rallies.
During the meeting, various issues related to effective expenditure monitoring mechanism were discussed in detail.
The observer directed the ADC to provide the list of star campaigners of all political parties.
Later, the observer inspected each unit of the expenditure monitoring cell to ascertain the functioning of the cell.
