JAMMU, July 17: J&K Employees Joint Action Committee (R) today projected its demands and urged the Government to resolve them at the earliest.
Addressing a press conference here today, State president, J&K Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC), Babu Hussain Malik, said that they have been struggling for their demands like revocation of SRO-520 and SRO-30-GAD of 2019, regularization of daily wagers/contractual/consolidated and need based employees and release of wages of Anganwari workers but Government is not paying attention to them.
He said contractual teachers/lecturers are on strike for last 70 days for continuation of their services but Government is acting as a mute spectator. Malik also reiterated other demands like removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre/amendment in SRO 333, 5 days a week of working in all Government offices outside Civil Secretariat also, enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 5000 per month, abolishment of SRO 202, holding DPC after every six months and filling up of all vacant posts in all the departments.
Malik also stressed upon the Government for reorganization of Geology and Mining Department, implementation of 7th Pay Commission in various departments and corporations, risk allowance to PDD Department employees, creation of one separate department of clerical cadre, etc.
He said EJAC (R) will fight in every corner for betterment of employees. He requested Government to resolve all pending issues of employees at an earliest. Malik also appealed every Government employee of every department to join the Kashmir Chalo program and assemble at Partap Park in Srinagar on 23-07-2019.
