SRINAGAR, Apr 20: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) shall evolve new strategy to wage fresh struggle for resolution of the pending issues of the Government employees.
In a meeting of the Employees Joint Action Committee convened under the leadership Abdul Qayoom Wani (president), here today, the members unanimously decided to chalk out new strategy for the resolution of their pending issues. The session was attended by all the central, provincial and district level senior members of the body.
The session deeply regretted the killings in Handwara and Kupwara and termed these incidents as the massacre of humanity. The session urged the Govt to conduct a time bound enquiry in the matter and take stringent action against the culprits.
The members discussed in detail the long pending issues of employees working in various Govt Departments and Public Sector Undertakings and the conspiracies hatched against the employees’ movement. It was decided that a State level convention would be held wherein it will be explained to Government that delay in resolution of issues like regularization of temporary employees, removal of all pay anomalies especially, in clerical cadre and 6500-10500 (pre revised grade), confirmation of incharge officers, increase in Medical allowance from Rs 300to Rs 2000, regularization of employees working under different Centrally sponsored schemes, and that inclusion of sixteen years service record of migrant substitute teachers shall not be tolerated anymore.
The unnecessary delay by the Govt shall invite serious repercussions. The session emphasized the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to take personal interest in the resolution of these long pending issues and keep strict vigil on such officers who want to create a wedge between the Govt and employees to satisfy their ego.
Prominent among others present in the meeting included Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam, Fayaz Ahmad, Khurshid Ahmad Bhat, Manzoor Ahmad, Haji Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Abdul Salam, Shabir Ahmad Langoo, Syed Wajahat Kirmani, Khalid Mohd Khan, Nazir Ahmad and Dr Manzoor.
