EJAC demands removal of pay anomalies

JAMMU, Feb 20:  J&K Government Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC-R) has urged the State Government to address  demands like removal of pay anomalies of the clerical cadre, regularization of  daily wagers and announcing increase in the Medical allowance of employees from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month.
In a meeting of the Committee held today under the chairmanship of Javed Ahmed Akhoon, vice president, the members  discussed the pending issues of the employees. They also lauded the move of  the Government to take decision regarding enhancement of retirement age shortly and hoped that pending demands would also be considered shortly. They said that the Pay Anomaly Committee framed by the Government for removal of pay disparities,  has already submitted its report and now the  implementation part is awaited.
They further demanded that Government should also take a decision regarding the fate/ regularization of daily rated, casual, ad hoc, contractual and other consolidated workers.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included Babu Hussain Malik, Parshotam Sharma, Bharat Bhushan, Khurshid Baba, Seva Ram Rathore, Yashpal Sharma and Mohd Iqbal.
