JAMMU, Mar 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) headed by senior trade unionist Qayoom Wani has constituted new body for Jammu province.
After two day general council session of the EJAC held under the leadership of Wani, the old body was dissolved. The new body was framed through secret ballot here today.
Ganesh Khajuria was re-elected as new provincial president, Paramjeet Singh as senior vice president, Narinder Singh Jamwal and Yashpal Sharma vice presidents, Rajesh Singh Jamwal as general secretary, B B Kotwal as chief spokesman, Sukhdev Singh- convenor, Rajinder Gupta- publicity chief, Anil Sharma- chief advisor, Sajjad Mailk – chief legal advisor, Ashok Kumar-chief coordinator, Darshan Sharma -spokesman, Ajit Singh financial advisor, Pardeep Singh coordinator-I, Shar Modh Khan- organsier, Tilak Raj joint secretary, Kuldeep Raj Sharma- advisor, Rashpal- assistant coordinator, Surjit Singh & Ravinder Singh jt secretary, Dalbir Singh provincial advisor, Noor Mohd- coordinator, Surat Singh media advisor and Jamat Ali Aga incharge vice president Chenab valley.
The general council also adopted certain resolutions projecting demands of employees regarding regularisation, removal of pay anomalies, enhancement of medical allowance, revival of PSUs etc.
In yet another resolution, the Council has warned the State Govt to desist from anti-trade union activities.
