Eight injured in road accidents

Srinagar, May 14: Police today said eight persons were injured in different road accidents in Valley.
A police spokesman said a vehicle bearing registration number JK03E-7595 collided with a motorcycle at Kehribal crossing in Mattan area of Anantnag dsirict, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist namely Pupinder Singh. “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment,” he said, adding police have registered a case in this regard.
The spokesman said another motorcycle bearing registration number JK03D-7298 driven by Shahnawaz Ahmed Zargar hit and injured a pedestrian namely Zaina Begum at Deesu in Kokernag area of Anantnag. “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment,” he said, adding police have registered a case in this regard.
The spokesman said a tractor driven by Rizwan Ahmad Bhat hit a motorcycle bearing registration number JK03W-2763 near Bun Banderpora in Bijbehara area of the Anantnag, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist namely Mohammad Shafi Bhat. “The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment,” he said, adding police have registered a case in this regard.
The spokesman said an I-10 vehicle bearing registration number JK05B-2228 driven by Waseem Ahmed War hit and injured a pedestrian namely Mohammad Yaseen Mir near Sadpora Crossing in Sopore area of Baramulla district. “The injured was shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he added.
The spokesman said a Maruti car bearing registration number JK05B-3085 and a motorcycle bearing registration number MH121Y-8035 collided at Kanihama-Bhatpora Crossing in Magam area of Budgam district, resulting in injuries to four persons. “All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he added.
