Ehsaas International supplies PPEs, face masks to DDMA Srinagar

SRINAGAR, Mar 28: Ehsaas International, Kashmir based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), is supplying 500 PPEs(Personal Protection Equipments) , 3000 triple layered face masks on daily basis to the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Srinagar.
The said equipment is being developed as per the quality standards approved by the local health authority (Covid Committee) and as per specifications put forth by MoHFW, DGHS (Emergency Medical Relief) are being delivered by DDMA to various quarantine centres and hospitals across Jammu & Kashmir.
In this continuous development and supply chain process, services of 270 skilled, semi skilled professionals, 30 volunteers and 15 technical institutions are being utilised every day to develop and supply the critical PPE and face masks. In order to cater to the ever-growing demand of health equipment, Ehsaas International has also collaborated with J&K Skill Development Mission to utilise their resources / training centres/certified professionals to develop health safety gears equipments from locally procured non-woven polypropylene material.
“We are thankful to the district administration for their support and cooperation which has further accelerated our task of procurement and mobilisation of resources,” said Hakeem Mohammad Ilyas, General Secretary, Ehsaas International.
Hakeem Ilyas further added: “We have initiated the process of making face shields also which are a substitute to goggles which are part of standard PPE. The similar technique is being used by Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute. The issue is that we are running out of finances and human resource. Therefore, we request people from cross sections of society to come forward and support our organisation in carrying out its mission to fight the deadly pandemic.”
