Sir,
Refer news sitem ‘Prof Gupta terms educational policy as dubious’ DE May 1.
The State Education Policy as it exists now needs to reviewed as it has many flaws. One of which is the recruitment of teachers. There is no preference for B.Ed degrees. A candidate without B. Ed degree is also appointed for the coveted post while the same is not the case with recruitment of teachers in other State. No candidate without B. Ed degree can be recruited as a teacher. The Government should consider this issue seriously. Otherwise, the standard of education would continue to fall day by day in the Government schools.
If pass percentage of Government ‘schools is not worth praise, the blame should not be put mere on staff of the concerned school but also on the Government who remain insensitive to some issues facing the education department
Yours etc…
