JAMMU, Feb 4: Various educational institutions celebrated Basant Panchmi with religious fervour and gaiety.
Students of Lawrence Public School Panjtirthi and Sidhra branches celebrated Basant Panchmi. The children of the pre-primary wing dressed in yellow clothes, offered yellow colored flowers to the Goddess and also brought yellow colored food in their Tiffin’s. Students and teachers from both the branches in their speeches highlighted the significance of Basant Panchami. Founder Principal Shakuntla Joshi was also present.
Jammu Sanskriti School celebrated Basant Panchami with enthusiasm. Teachers apprised the students about the importance of the day. Students offered flowers to Goddess Saraswati.
Kids Heaven Higher Secondary School, Kathua celebrated Basant Panchmi. Students presented cultural items. Principal Radha Sharma highlighted the importance of the day.
SNS Vidya Mandir, Camp Road, Talab Tillo celebrated Basant Panchmi. Dineshwar Singh Jamwal, social activist was the chief guest, whereas Dr Rama Kant Dubey, advisor, SNS, Rajendra Kumar, Manager Trustee, Suresh Sharma, Director Academic were also present. Students presented cultural items. Neelam Sabharwal, Principal presented vote of thanks.
TS Public School and Euro Kids celebrated Basant Panchmi at Channi Rama. A special assembly was conducted by the students as a tribute to Goddess Saraswati. Chairperson TS Group of Educational Institutions Pooja Malhotra threw light on the importance of the day.
Aroma Foundation Public School, Lower Roop Nagar celebrated Basant Panchami with enthusiasm. Teachers apprised the students about the importance of the day. Students presented cultural items. Principal Kamal Sharma and Vice Principal Rajni Sharma threw light on the importance of the day.
RM Public School celebrated Basant Panchmi. Staff members and students were dressed in diversed shades of yellow magnifying the splendor of nature. A Saraswati puja was performed to seek the blessings of Goddess. Saraswati vandna was beautifully sung by the students. Principal Ravinder Kour highlighted the importance of the day.
Daffodils Care Convent Play Way School, Jain Bazar celebrated Basant Panchmi. The occasion started with Saraswati Vandana, followed by a play enacted by children conveying the message to follow good habits, good manners and to obey their elders. Children dance on various songs and presented bhangra also. Principal Shikha Puri threw light on the importance of the day.
