Educational cum Motivational tour flagged in

POONCH, Jan 11: Ten day long Educational cum Motivational tour organized by 39 Rashtriya Rifles (Grenadiers) under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo) was flagged in at Battalion Headquarters LKG.
Shamsher Hussain Choudhury, SSP Poonch received the enthusiastic children and the accompanying teachers in presence of large number of civil dignitaries and locals including parents of the participating children.
While speaking SSP said that it is the earnest endeavour of Army to integrate children of far-flung areas of J&K with rest of the country by means of organizing these kinds of tours.
During the tour, the 23 participants from far-flung areas of the district Poonch visited Chandigarh, Ambala and Meerut.
They visited various places of historical and tourist interests like Bahu Fort, Bagh-e-Bahu Aquarium, Raghunath Mandir and Amar Mahal Museum at Jammu, Tank Memorial, Jama Masjid, Gandhi Bagh and Shahid Smarak at Meerut, Rock Garden, Sukhna Lake and Rose Garden at Chandigarh and Air Force base, Planetarium and Badshahi Bagh Gurudwara at Ambala.
