JAMMU, Mar 13: A deputation of All J&K Electric Department Linemen and Workers Union (EDLWU) today met Commissioner, Power Development Department (PDD) in his office chamber and put up their demands.
The deputation which was led by Union president, Ashiq Hussain, raised their genuine demands regarding welfare fund, conduct of DPC and variations in the pay scales of the promoted employees before the Commissioner.
The deputation demanded that uniform pay scales be granted to all employees in one rank promoted to next higher ranks and DPC meetings be conducted for according promotion to the deserving senior employees.
The Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured that their genuine demands would be taken up with the concerned authorities for early settlement.
Kartar Nath, Vijay Kumar, Surinder Kumar, Girdhari Lal, Tara Chand, Kewal Krishan besides others were part of the deputation.
