EC Minority takes stock of developmental activities

LEH, Jan 23: During week-long extensive tour of his constituency, the Executive Councillor (EC) for Minority and Forest LAHDC, Leh Ghulam Mehdi visited Bogdang, Chulunkha, Tyakshi, Thang and Turtuk villages and took stock of the developmental activities.
The EC was accompanied by Chairman BDC Turtuk Block during the visit. Mehdi interacted with the BDC Chairman, Sarpanch, Nambardar, Panch and in-charge Medical Officer during his visit at the Primary Health Centre, Bogdang.
Various issues were highlighted in the meeting like immediate requirement of a new ambulance, X-Ray technician, central heating system and other pending developmental works. The EC lauded Stanzin Tsomo, a Female Multipurpose Health Worker (FMPHW) posted under NRHM for carrying out more than a hundred institutional delivery successfully at the PHC and recommended her name for due recognition from the District Administration.
Interacting with the villagers, Mehdi assured to take up all the issues and demands raised by the villagers with the HoDs and concerned departments for early redressal. He also assured to take up all genuine and major demands for inclusion under suitable schemes available with UT Ladakh and also assured to complete ongoing works within the current financial year.
