Manually filing of mandatory statements by nearly 5 lakh employees of Jammu and Kashmir has been found generally not only consuming time as also not filing in time justified under various pleas by those employees taking the submission just casually has , now been improved upon by a process of having such statements submitted through on-line mode . An on-line portal having thus been launched is expected not only to streamline the process but leave no scope for any alibi for non submission.
It is worth noting that submission of this vital information on yearly basis is one of the major steps in pre-empting chances of indulging in corrupt practices with intent to build up assets and properties , at times, in be-nami ownership. That in evolving and making the portal for e-filing , besides General Administration Department , involvement of the efforts of Anti Corruption Bureau, Information Technology Department and University of Kashmir have been of immense help and use as a collaborative venture. This facility besides making filing of the return quite easy for employees shall also be quite helpful in processing their vigilance clearance cases and assisting the Anti Corruption Bureau investigate cases of assets acquiring, disproportionate to known sources of income.
