Dynasty driven Congress can’t understand BJP work culture: Dr Jitendra

Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh addressing a press conference ahead of Himachal Pradesh Assembly polls, at Shimla on Tuesday.

SHIMLA, November 1 :Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science & Technology; Minister of State (Independent Charge) Earth Sciences; MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh said here today that dynasty driven Congress can’t understand BJP work culture.
Addressing a press conference here ahead of State Assembly polls, Dr Jitendra Singh was responding to the Congress statement that BJP was not confident in Himachal Pradesh and that is why all its national leaders were coming to the State for election campaign.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, those who say so are possibly not aware of BJP’s working and its tradition which has been there right from the beginning. He said, BJP is a cadre based party, not controlled by any dynasty and here every Karyakarta is equal, which is why, whenever there is an election at any level, whether it is Panchayat or Legislative Assembly or Lok Sabha and whichever be the State, all the members of the party from top to bottom collectively join the campaign. We have followed the same practice in other States in the past and it is the same practice being followed here as well, he added.
Emphasising the importance of having a BJP government in Himachal Pradesh which could work in tandem with the Modi Govt at the Centre, Dr Jitendra Singh said, unexplored resources of Himalayan States like Himachal Pradesh are vital to enrich India’s future economy over the next 25 years. He said, huge Himalayan geo-resources are yet to be fully explored, which will contribute to the socio-economic development of the Himalayan region as well as the country as a whole.
The Minister said, while in the last 75 years, the Western and Southern States have mostly contributed in terms of India’s industrial and economic development, time has come to tap the vast Himalayan resources including its bio-resources, glaciers, snowfields, etc. In order to ensure that Himachal Pradesh gets its due share and makes its due contribution in the making of India at 100, it is important to have a government which translates the Central schemes at ground level in the State to a maximum extent. This is possible only when we repeat the BJP government in the State, he said.
Citing several instances, Dr Jitendra Singh said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had started a series of reforms for the different sections of society soon after he took over in 2014, but Himachal Pradesh had to wait for three years before the BJP government took over in the State in 2017 and only then it was possible to effectively implement all these schemes in the State.
Citing the example of “Double Engine” working, Dr Jitendra Singh said the Jairam Thakur government carried forward Modi’s scheme Ayushman Bharat in the State for which over 4 lakh people have got registered while the State government supplemented it with ‘Him Care’ scheme which has so far registered 5 lakh people. Similarly, Modi’s Ujjwala scheme reached 1.37 lakh people in the State while Mukhyamantri Grahni Yojana supplemented it by reaching 3 lakh households, he said.
The Minister said, in the next 25 years of Amrti-Kal, Himalayan States like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir and the North-Eastern States are going to make a significant value edition to build India’s future economy and only BJP govt can ensure an optimum contribution of Himachal Pradesh.
