JAMMU, Jan 1: Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand today visited Shiv Khori and paid obeisance at the famous cave shrine.
Underscoring on promoting pilgrim tourism in tourist circuits of the region, Tara Chand said all out efforts are afoot to develop and promote the place as a major pilgrim tourist destination of the State. He said Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board (SSKSB) has launched various projects to create and upgrade facilities for the benefit of visiting devotees.
He said better facilities at the shrine would go a long way in attracting pilgrims visiting Shri Mata Vaishno Devi to Shiv Khori, adding that helipad and cable car projects should be expedited.
Instructions were issued to the authorities to pace up the speed of development works being undertaken in and around the shrine.
Listening to the demands projected by agitating employees of the board, the Deputy Chief Minister assured that genuine demands would be looked into on priority.
He directed to maintain cleanliness en-route the holy cave and around the market place.
