Dy Speaker reviews stock, supply position in Gurez

JAMMU, Jan 3: The Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) would establish LPG agencies and petrol pumps in the border tehsil of Gurez by June 2017.
This information was given in a meeting chaired by the Deputy Speaker Legislative Assembly, Nazir Ahmad Gurezi here today.
The meeting was convened to review the stock and supply position of essential commodities and LPG in the area.
The representatives of oil companies informed that the process for opening LPG outlet and installation of petrol pump has already been started. They assured that by June this year the area would get both the facilities.
Earlier, Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCSCA) Kashmir, Tasaduq Jeelani briefed the meeting about the ration and supplies distributed among the consumers of the tehsil.
Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Speaker asked the FCS &CA Department to ensure timely distribution of essential commodities to the consumers of the tehsil.
He asked the concerned oil companies to expedite the process of making available these services in the tehsil at the earliest.
The meeting was attended by Additional Secretary, FCSCA, Romesh Chander, senior officers of IOCL, HPCL and FCSCA.
