JAMMU, Nov 18: Deputy Mayor, Purnima Sharma today laid the foundation stone for the renovation of Sochalaya near Heritage Gate of Mubarak Mandi here.
Arun Gupta (X-En), R.K Koul (JE), Bhuvneshwar Singh, Varinder, Shubh Lata Sharma (Satwari Mandal Adhyaksh), Anuradha Sharma (President Ward No. 1), Verinder Verma, Rohit Bajrangi, Madhav Singh Thakur, Sunita Wazir (Mandal Secretary), Vandana Tehar (District Secretary), Gopal, Sukh Devi, Kamala Devi, Veena Devi, all BJP Booth Presidents of Ward No. 1 and other prominent citizens were also present.
A handout stated that estimated amount allotted for the renovation work of the Sochalaya is Rs. 10.5 lakh. The renovated structure will include 2 toilets for men, 2 toilets for women, 1 bathroom and 1 caretaker room and will be constructed by Sulabh Agency. It was the long pending demand of the locals and shopkeepers brought to the notice of Deputy Mayor.
The Deputy Mayor directed the officials to make sure that the whole renovation work should be completed within the stipulated time and the quality of the work should be up to the mark.
