Dy Chairman LC pays surprise visit to two training centres

Poonch, Nov 22: To monitor and take feed back of the ongoing teachers training under SSA, Deputy Chairman, J&K Legislative Council,  Jhangir Hussain Mir, paid a surprise visit to two training centres at HSS boys Poonch and HSS Chandak. He observed Child Psychology session at BHSS Poonch and expressed his satisfaction.
While addressing trainees there he said that he already had got a good feedback of training from the various teachers who had already attended this training are of the good opinion. Master trainer Haroon Rathore briefed Dy Chairman about the content and pedagogical aspects of this training. At HSS Chandak Dy Chairman J&K Legislative Council observed the session about Child protection and safety, where Master Trainer Anwar Khan informed Dy Chairman that presently under SSA the teacher training program includes a 90 minutes power point presentation session to sanitize the 540O Masters/ Teachers about the Child protection and safety.
The training is being provided at 8 different centres across the District under the able supervision of CEO Poonch Ch Lal Hussain. Anwar Khan, Haroon Rathore and  Harish Sharma have been deputed by Directorate as Master trainers and Monitors of the training which is being imparted by a trained group of 46 Resource persons. So far in 6 batches more than 2950 teachers have been trained and the process will continue till 9th January 2016 without any break.
Addressing trainees there he said that the content and pedagogical aspects of training are very impressive and now the real task is its implementation in the schools. He also appreciated the efforts of Commissioner Secretary School education Shalin Kabra, SPD SSA Saugat Biswas and Director school education Babila Rakwal for visiting the training centres personally.
During interaction with teachers he emphasized to be competition ready with private schools. He also directed CEO Poonch to devise a fool proof mechanism to ensure the implementation of training in classroom. He also appreciated the Master trainers and resource persons for their tireless efforts for this training. DEPO Poonch Makhan Lal Sharma and Principals of both the schools were also present.
