Durganagar Welfare Committee for reducing load on Feeder R 2

JAMMU, July 24: Durganagar Welfare Committee in a meeting today held under the chairmanship of Roshan Lal Raina president of the Committee expressed grave concern over the erratic power supply in the localities of Durganagar, Roop Nagar, Dogranagar for last three days.
It said the unscheduled long duration power cuts in last three days have perturbed the people of the area. The meeting also discussed that Feeder R2 often shuts down if any minute problem arises in it.
The meeting was informed that the issue was taken up with Divisional Commissioner, Jammu also and informed him that residents of Durganagar , Roopnagar, Dogranagar and adjoining localities are facing problem due to shut down of Feeder R2. The Committee had informed the Divisional Commissioner that out of nine feeders Feeder R2 is overloaded as it has to feed a large area.
The meeting said that the Divisional Commissioner discussed the issue with Chief Engineer concerned also who assured that the Feeder load will be reduced soon. The meeting made an appeal to Chief Engineer to issued directives to the engineers to reduce the load on feeder. The meeting expressed the hope that the Chief Engineer will take the immediate action in the matter to relieve the people of the problem.
