JAMMU, Mar 14: Durga Nagar Welfare Committee delegation led by its president Roshan Lal Raina today called on Commissioner cum Secretary, Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation and discussed the problems of Kashmiri displaced people in general and non-camp migrants in particular with him.
The delegation urged the Commissioner , Secretary to visit the non camp localities especially the Durga Nagar and Roop Nagar area to have at and on spot study of the problems of the displaced people putting up there.
The delegation appealed the Revenue Commissioner cum Secretary to issue instructions to concerned departments to start up the works sanctioned by the Government already in the area. Besides, issue directives to the authorities for starting the matador service from Bantalab to Durga Nagar via Rajinder Nagar and Swaran Vihar as the people in these localities face lot of hardships due to lack of proper transport facilities.
The delegation said the problems of the people in three adjoining colonies of Durga Nagar, Rajinder Nagar and Swaran Vihar will be solved once a matador service from Bantlab to Bus Stand will be started via these three localities.
