JAMMU, Aug 12: A deputation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee headed by its president Roshan Lal Raina along with other members called on Chief Engineer PHE here today and discussed the problem being faced by them due to water scarcity in the area.
The delegation informed the CE PHE that the Durga Nagar is facing water scarcity for last two months. They said despite making sump functional the department has failed to better water supply in the area.
The Chief Engineer urged the Xen Division First PHE to discuss the issue with him. He assured the delegation that the water supply will be restored within shortest period of time.
The Committee also made an appeal to Chief Engineer M&RE for regular power supply in the area.
Behari Lal, Bushan Lal Pandita, C L Zutshi and Ashok Ji were among the other members of the delegation.
