Jammu, Jan 18: Dharmarth Trust Sudhar Sangharsh Samiti (DTSSS) strongly criticized the statement of secretary Dharmarth Trust, Shashi Khajuria as well as those organizations, who are opposing Hindu Temples and Shrine Bill on the plea that there is strong perception among the Hindus in Jammu division.
Karnail Chand, general secretary Dharmarth Trust Sudhar Sangharsh Samiti alleged that person having control on Dharmarth temples have lost their credibility and faith of thousand of Hindus due to their corrupt policies in Trust as they have been using Dharmarth funds for their personal use. He alleged that Dharmarth Trust has become an enjoyment place for some Government retired persons who are getting Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1 lakh per month as salary and other benefits where as about 400 regular employees of the Trust are being paid only Rs. 2000/- to Rs. 5000/- per month even after serving the Trust for 30-40 years and are deprived of various incentives.
Karnail Chand further alleged that everyone is well aware about the facts that due to mis-management and mis-appropriation of Dharmarth funds, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine was taken over in the year 1986 from Dharmarth Trust by the then Governor of J&K state and separate Board was constituted in the name of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. He maintained that it is the requirement of the time to take over all Dharmarth Trust temples and shrines from the Dharamarth Trust by the Government through Ordinance and to constitute Public Board for safeguarding the interest of Dharamarth temples and shrines and also constitute independent Commission to conduct multi crore scandals in Dharamarth Trust.
