JAMMU, Dec 4: Continuing their agitation for the third consecutive day, Dharmarth Trust employees under the banner of Dharmarth Trust Employees Association (DTEA) today appealed the J&K Lt Governor to merge the trust in SMVD Shrine Board.
A number of the employees, including priests from various units of the trust such as Shri Raghunath Mandir, Hari Bhawan Purmandal, Uttarbehni, Birpur and Central Office Karan Bhawan participated in the protest.
The protesting employees alleged that instead of holding negotiations with them to settle their pending demands, Dharmarth Trust management suspended the Association President, General Secretary and other office bearers with malafide intentions to harass and crush the trade union activities.
They demanded withdrawal of suspension order of five employees, pay scale at par with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board employees, release of one month pay as bonus, release of 15 percent DA installment, implementation of ESI scheme, etc.
President, Vivek Bandral and General Secretary, Suneet Sharma alleged that trust management was responsible for making trust financially weak due to their mismanagement and wrong policies.
