JAMMU, Sept 6: Dogra Sewa Sambhal (DSS) Trust today organized a Kavi Sammelan titled “Ek Sham Veer Jawan Ke Naam” in Jammu.
In the program, many eminent poets gave their presentation in the memory of the soldiers standing on the border for the security of the country and the brave soldiers who got martyrdom.
MP Jugal Kishore Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion while senior BJP leader Baldev Singh Billawaria and Mahant Rajesh Bittu were guests of honor.
Addressing the Kavi Sammelan, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that behind the waving tricolor there is a story of many sacrifices. He said that under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a new energy was seen in the people. He lauded the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central Government in taking this campaign to the masses. He said today’s youth need to know the history of India and the main objective is to make the youth of the country aware through this Kavi Sammelan.
While praising the poets, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that in the Kavi Sammelan, the poets have done the work of awakening the spirit of patriotism through their creations. He said that the poet makes every person energetic, cheerful, joyful and entertained with his poetry as well as helping to make people aware of many issues through satire.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahant Rajesh Bittu while appreciating the Dogra Sewa Sambhal Trust said that it has done a Godly work by organizing a Kavi Sammelan. He said that by remembering the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for the country, the Trust has paid a true tribute.
Later, the poets were honored by giving mementos by the Dogra Sewa Sambhal Trust. Star Singh conducted the program while poets Ashok Paras, Pyasa Anjum, MS Nirala, Amin Banali, Suraj Ratan, Fauzia Mughal and RS Mastana performed.
