JAMMU, May 15: A delegation of Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) led by Gulchain Singh Charak, DSS president met B.A Khan, Advisor to Lt. Governor and discussed various issues of Jammu region.
The delegation demanded action on restoration work of Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex, portion of which has collapsed after stabilization of the hill feature that is getting eroded and is sliding dangerously with every monsoon.
Better care of paintings and artefacts along with shifting of archives from old Information Department building to a better place was also demanded.
Demand of restoration of Jammu festival to its original form was also raised along with the demand of removal of barricade in front of civil secretariat.
More issues discussed with the Advisor included poor alignment of Ramban-Nashri Highway and issues of Numberdars and Chowkidars.
The Advisor assured the delegation for time bound action on the issues raised.
The delegation comprised of G.A Khwaja, Addl Gen. Secretary, Col Dr. Virendra K Sahi, Vr.C, Media Convener and Secretary Dr. V.S Sharma.
