SRINAGAR, Feb 15: In an utter disregard to the Government order, the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK) has not relieved its Junior Assistants for the Secretariat Assistants Training Course (SATC) that started today at J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (IMPARD).
The DSEK, as per the order had to relieve 8 Senior Assistants and 16 Junior Assistants who were supposed to undergo training at IMPARD, Srinagar; however, only Senior Assistants were relieved today by the Directorate, leaving out the juniors.
Excelsior has learned that the DSEK is deliberately depriving the Junior Assistants of the training as it is mulling to relieve In-Charge Senior Assistants instead for the SATC and the Foundation Course for which the Junior Assistants, as per a General Administration Department (GAD) order, were to be relieved positively on February 15.
“All the concerned Heads of the Department are impressed upon to relieve officials strictly in accordance with the seniority against the allocated slots. In case any failure is observed on part of the any concerned HoD in relieving the officials that responsibility shall squarely lie on the concerned Head of the Department(s). The officials shall ensure their presence during the training period and shall report to IMPART… today,” reads the order issued in this regard.
As per the order, the DSEK was allotted 8 slots of Senior Assistants for the SATC; while 16 slots were allotted to the Junior Assistants for the training.
However, the officials of the DSEK told Excelsior that the file regarding the deputation of the Junior Assistants is lying pending with the Director of School Education.
“While we have relieved the Senior Assistants for the training at IMPARD, the file regarding the Junior Assistants is with the Director and is likely to be cleared tomorrow,” Personnel Officer, DSEK Dr Muzamil Maqbool told Excelsior.
