Srinagar, Sept 14: The Directorate of School Education, Kashmir today directed all heads of the schools to ensure effective messaging against the drug menace under Nasha Mukt Abhiyan.
In a circular issued, the DSEK has directed the schools to write attractive messages concerning the Drug menace on the front Walls of Classrooms / Main Building Walls, etc apart from ensuring the conduct of Essay Writing Competitions, debates, Seminars, and other activities in all the Institutions.
“The victims who recovered from Drug menace through the rehabilitation process (Success stories) shall also be invited to share positive messages amongst students.”
The circular said that as per the instructions issued by this Directorate from time to time and as per guidelines given by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir in various meetings, the heads of all Educational Institutions of Kashmir Division are placed under strict instructions to adhere to the guidelines.
“The PETs/PEMs/PELs shall be nominated as Counsellors for counseling of students and general awareness amongst the students and general masses,” the circular said.
To create mass awareness and disseminate the message, the schools have been told to organize Road Shows, Nukad Nataks. “The reports daily as per already devised format be submitted to this office positively…the instructions shall be strictly adhered to.”
