As per the order, no offline classes shall commence in either Government or private schools until a valid structural Safety Certificate is issued by the competent authority.
Heads of Institutions (HOIs) /School Management Committees have been directed to get a comprehensive safety audit of school buildings and submit the detailed report to the concerned authority.
“Hols / School Management Committees must evaluate the overall preparedness of their respective schools after obtaining the safety certificate,” reads the order.
However, in case any HOI / School Management Committee is satisfied that their building does not require conduct of safety audit, being structurally safe, the school is required to furnish an undertaking, certifying that school is structurally fully safe for conduct of offline classes.
The said undertaking should be furnished to the concerned CEO/ZEO before commencing of offline classes.
