DSEJ directs schools to take extra classes for border students

JAMMU, Jan 27: In order to take stock of the schools and students effected due to the Pakistan shelling in border areas of tehsil R S  Pura, Miran Sahib, Bishnah,  Arnia and other adjoining areas, Director School Education Jammu S  Ravinder Singh alongwith Chief Education Officer, Jammu,   Joginder Sudan had a meeting of Zonal Education Officers of R S  Pura, Miran Sahib, Bishnah, Arnia and all the heads of institutions falling in these zones.
In the meeting, held  at Government Higher Secondary School, R S  Pura,  Directors School Education directed all the heads of institutions and Zonal Education Officers to ensure resumption of studies of all the students who have migrated from their respective places due to Pakistan shelling in the border areas  and have taken  refuge at the schools notified by the District Administration.
All Heads of Institutions  were  directed to start extra classes/remedial classes for the migrated students so as to complete syllabus/studies suffered due to closure of schools in their respective institutions.
All the heads were also  directed to report immediately the deficiencies of teaching staff in their respective  institutions so that these migrated students do not suffer and also immediately report the damages caused to the schools due to shelling.
During interaction with the people,  Director School Education Jammu assured them that education of their children shall not suffer and all arrangements for quality education of their children shall be ensured.
