DSA plea to JKCET aspirants

JAMMU, June 1: Dental Surgeon Association (DSA), J&K urged the JKCET aspirants and their parents not to opt BDS course as there is no scope in dentistry in J&K.
Dr Asif Iqbal Chowdhary, president, DSA said that there are over 1300 unemployed dental surgeon till date and there has been no PSC from the past six years.
The last PSC was advertised wide notification no. 02-PSC 2008 dated 18-02-2008, he said, adding that there is no scope for post graduation within and outside the State.
There are only 12 post graduate seats including category in our State where every year more than 200 dental students are passing, he added.
He requested the parents not to play with the future of their wards by opting BDS.
