Dry spell to end in Kashmir valley as WD approaches: Met

SRINAGAR: Dry spell is likely to end on Republic Day when a fresh Western Disturbance (WD) could hit the region, a meteorological department spokesman said here today.

He said the weather would remain mainly dry during the next 48 hours in Jammu and Kashmir. However, on January 26 and 27 there is a possibility of isolated rain in the Kashmir valley while weather will remain dry in Jammu and Ladakh region, he said.

He further added that there could be scattered, isolated or fairly widespread rain in the State on January 28 and 29. (AGENCIES)
