REASI, June 27: As part of Door to Door “Paanch Divasiya Vaccination Abhiyan-Abhi Nahi Toh Kabhi Nahi,” today awareness programme was conducted by ‘drum beaters’ to aware unvaccinated people to get their vaccination Jab.
As part of ‘Panch Divasiya Vaccination Abhiyan’, the drum beaters visited various villages to create awareness about benefits of vaccination and announced the arrival of the vaccination team to encourage unvaccinated population in the age group of 45 plus and above to get vaccinated.
Drum-beating has long been a part of the local culture, used to indicate an important event, such as weddings and festivals. And today drum beaters, informed public that vaccination teams are at the outreach site so as to aware public in advance to get vaccinated.
The district administration headed by DC Reasi Charandeep Singh has resorted to traditional methods of drum beating to create awareness about covid vaccination so as to achieve target of 100% vaccination of population in the age group of 45 plus and above before 30th of june.
As part of this Abhiyan today around 297 persons in the age group of 45 to 59 years of age and around 60 senior citizens above 60 years of age got vaccinated.
