JAMMU, Mar 18: The sleuths of Special Operation Group (SOG) Jammu along with cops from Police Station Nagrota arrested a drugs trafficker and nabbed with 7.50 kilograms of cannabis.
As per police sources, on specific information, the sleuths of SOG Jammu along with cops from Police Station Nagrota laid a naka at Ban and intercepted a Santro car bearing registration number JK03D-3182.
During checking, the cops recovered 7.50 kilograms of high quality cannabis from specially made cavities in the car and arrested one person.
The arrested person has been identified as Manzoor Ahmed Mir, son of Ghulam Nabi Mir of Koolipora Khanyar Srinagar.
A case under FIR Number 98/19 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
The whole exercise was monitored by SSP SOG Jammu Sandeep Mehta and was carried out under the supervision of SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh.
